Telling our stories workshop

Key to Disability Pride Week is the telling of our stories. We all have experiences to share and stories to tell. We can use these stories to be proud, and claim our place in a world where we are included, visible and valued. These will be shared on social media, in the mainstream media and at events throughout Disability Pride Week with the writers' permission.

This workshop will help participants to:

  • identify the stories they want to tell and how they want to tell them
  • craft stories that are effective and engaging
  • think about how we can share the stories during Disability Pride Week.

This workshop will be led by Tess Casey, CEO Inclusive NZ.  Tess has a background in writing and communications and is also a core member of the Disability Pride Week Governing Committee.
