"My veins are filled with highways and bi-ways that traverse me and my inland lakes, farway from the sea with no-where to go.”

My new show, Manifesto of a Good Cripple, uses dance, film and theatre to tell the story of my career as a dancer with a disability. It discusses themes of identity and provides an antidote to inspiration porn.

It’s on at Auckland’s Basement Theatre from 29 to 31 October and then I hope to take it on tour, developing different versions of it for different situations and audiences.

As well as looking back at my career as a dancer with a disability, the show also includes pivotal moments in my life, my PhD research, and the theme of “body as landscape”.

I do hope you can come to my show.

For more information and to book, visit the Basement Theatre website.
